Our body speaks!
Somatic work is the the work of finding safety in one’s body, through practices that enhance nervous system regulation/embodiment. We can become disconnected from our own bodies early on and throughout our life. Our nervous system will get programmed to keep us safe based on past experiences. Specific somatic exercises can help us slow down, reconnect and listen to the alert signals our body is sending. Connection with these signals facilitates the development of self regulation.
The mind is the battle ground of the soul.
I believe that CBT is a modality that can help to identify unhealthy thought patterns, unloving beliefs about ourselves and create new patterns for a balanced thought life.
Soul care is really the journey of discovering and reconnecting with all the parts of who we are as an individual. When we chose to heal, we can develop confidence and feel empowered in our most authentic self. We all have unique parts of who we are and often these parts can have competing interests. I believe that creating new connections, within our own parts, is a path towards living an authentic life.
