Trauma does not live in the past. It lives in the body, in the way your system braces before you even know why, in reactions that feel bigger than the moment, in the exhaustion of being on guard without quite knowing what you are guarding against.
Talking about what happened helps, but only up to a point. At some level, the experience is not stored as a memory you can simply process with words. It is stored as a body state, a pattern of activation your nervous system learned because it had to.
That is where this work goes.
I am trained in Somatic Experiencing®, a body-based approach developed specifically for trauma and PTSD that works at the level where the experience actually lives. We do not have to revisit every detail of what happened. We work with what your nervous system is still carrying and help it find its way through what it never got to complete.
This work is slow and careful by design. You will not be pushed. You will not be flooded. We work at the edge of what is manageable, gently and with your full participation in the pace.
The people I work best with are not looking for more to analyze, but are open to a more direct, body-based way of working.
I have sat with people carrying some of the heaviest things imaginable. It is an honor I do not take lightly.
You have already survived what happened. This is about helping your nervous system finally know that too.
If that resonates, you are in the right place.
